TRICK OR TREAT EVERYONE & HAPPY HAUNTING 2008

So...we get to go to Orem with the Volleyball Team. Whitney gave them all a Creamy Ice cream and put a sticker on it that said...CREAM THE COMPETITION! The team left tonight to be there for tomorrow morning...so Greg and I are empty nesters tonight!
I need to finish up the ponytail things and give it to them tomorrow...or maybe I'll just wait until Basketball season and then give it to them for Region????

So I better not blog very long tonight, becuz I need to feed Greg...and we all know what he is like when his sugar level gets too low...GERRRRR!

So, you'll have to ask Whit what she got from her special friend for her b-day! It is a really nice gift! I know that she really liked the Sports Bag...dad and I gave her an Ipod! Her b-day cake was yucky...too much frosting!

So I'll have to keep you all updated on the VB games...I would imagine that Piute, Panguitch and Rich will be our competition.

I would love to sit and gab all night...but I really need to get going...I hope that you all have a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN...and PLEASE blog some PICTURES of the all my GRANDSONS in their Halloween Costumes! Oh yeah...What ya giving out for candy???

Blog already! I hope you enjoy the Halloween Music!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN...WE''RE GOING TO STATE VOLLEYBALL

If you haven't gotten your Birthday Spankings in yet...you better hurry, becuz the day will soon be over with. No matter what though...we will always be able to smell Whitter, becuz she is soooo spoiled that you can smell her coming a block away!

Do something "little" today to make a positive difference.

Hey, to all...you're right, it's Monday all day long! I took Phyllis C. up to her Doctor in Provo, and then came back home. I didn't even stop at the Red Barn...I will on Saturday when we are up there watching the Volleyball games. Nope...I don't know for sure that we are going, I'm just being optimistic at this time in the ball game. I've even made reservations at a hotel! Yep, I'm feeling it!

Quote of the day:

"The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the team wont be worth a dime."

So...yeah, I took some really great pictures of Whitney with her bedroom mess...I was going to post them, but she got my camera and deleted them...if she doesn't get her room in order...I will be posting them for her Birthday...day after tomorrow! Stay tuned!

I think that I'll have Greg, Whit and myself study the Sunday school lesson #40 for FHE tonight...I'm sure that they'll love it...oh well, it is a lesson after all. Then I guess that we can eat apple turnovers and ice cream for snack, while for the activity, we'll watch Monday Night Football of course!

I have a whole lot of things to get done at work tomorrow...I should have been to work today, but I love to help Phyllis with her doctor stuff and I really enjoy the visit that we get when we travel. So...I'll just have to work twice as much tomorrow and accomplish what I should have done today.

I'm going to finish up here and then go take the old Encyclopedias off of my bookshelf and throw them out...they are like from the 1970's...and really don't get looked at becuz everything has gone to computers. I then will make room for my VHS's and DVD's...sounds like a plan doesn't it!
Not much news as of right now...I'll have to see if I need to post again tonight after Whit comes home, or just wait until tomorrow...so until then...hang in there and know that it is definitely Monday for all of us...but along with Monday comes "Monday Night Football!

So...We're A Little Crazy!

A little crazy, didn't hurt anyone! It was fun and well worth the good laugh we ended up having! I mean...we laughed so hard that the black on our eyes was starting to smear! I haven't even included the good ones...you should have seen Carla dog piled on top...talk about smoosh!
Whit was laughing and by the end of the photo shoot, Carla had Whitney's lips puckered up like the photo...you've got to love a good time with your sisters and daughters. I told Whit and Carla that it was a good thing that Kay A. couldn't see us...he would go mad with his camera, shooting all of us, including Whitney, she was the one behind the camera.
It isn't everyday that someone gets to have a birthday and so we decided that sending a homemade one would be real treat for Vivian. Maybe the rest of you better let us know when your birthday's are...you may end up with a surprise yourselves.

Well, it is Sunday morning and I need to finish getting ready for church and brush up on my lesson...while I was looking for more ideas, I ran across this cute blog post about YW...it maybe fun to look at for those of you that have to teach YW or those of us that have YW that need to get their Personal Progress finished!!! Cute Ideas!!
Have a great Sunday and enjoy the good weather that we are having!

I Should Be Busy...But I'm Blogging!

Okay...I should be studying my Sunday School lesson and getting my laundry done, but here I sit.

Well...Region Volleyball is over...we took 3rd place! Whit didn't get to play...but then she is a Freshman after all...maybe next year! We play a play off game probably this Tuesday here at our gym against another region, and then if we win we will go to State...if we don't win...well then, use your imagination!

Jaron and Nolan are on their way over here to cut their deer up. Yeah, along with the thrill of the kill, comes the pain of the cut, wrap and freeze! Jaron took Greg's meat...thank Heaven...Greg has already bagged a spike elk and Whit has her buck, along with Greg got a cow elk permit for November...who needs meat? Chelsie has to work today, so Chasin and Braegan are coming with Nolan! Whit and I will watch them.

I'm going to put some pictures of the hunt on so that you can all see them! I know that some of them might be graphic to some of you...but that's just the way life is...graphic and we don't have a choice...toughen up!

Stephanie called and said that I needed to get my blog updated...imagine that...me not updated! I told her to get going on a blog and then the rest of us could keep up on her life! She thinks that she would only update once a month...she hasn't blogged has she!

Well, time to get to studying my lesson, or Sunday will be here and I don't even feel ready to present it yet! Wish Whit and her team luck this Tuesday...Luck Lady Badger's!

Keep Blogging!

It's Like Friday For Me!*!

Yes, it's my Friday...becuz, tomorrow morning is Whit's first Region Volleyball game. The first match of the day starts at 9:00 AM...then Whit plays the following match, probably around 10:00-10:15 AM.

I sell goodies starting at 8:30 - 10:30 AM...and then...I can enjoy the rest of the day watching, watching and watching Volleyball; that's why today is my Friday! I get to run home after I blog this...whoops, I need to stop and pick Whit up from practice...then get home. I will be baking bread sticks the rest of this evening...yumo!

So I pretty much have one of my grants finished and hanging on the line...just need to have those important signatures...you know, sometimes it's like waiting on paint to dry, before I see the important people to sign it!

So Chelsie is coming over tomorrow...yes, that will be nice...I'm sure the boys are looking forward to hanging at the gym all day...not! She will have to take a brake and run them to our house in between games and give them some time off...possibly a nap??

Greg made it home safely...that's a good thing! I'm sure that he is glad that he isn't driving across that desert still.

Guess what! I won at the card game 31, today at lunch...yes! I didn't even loose a paper clip...I kept all four! I've had a headache all day...could be that I was numb and didn't get overly excited and could think straight in order to win the game. We are getting new paint here at work and it is making me sick...headache extreme!

Well, I guess that I better be signing off, becuz Whit will be calling and wondering where I am. I usually have to sit and wait for her, but just becuz it is a pre-game practice...yup...my phone is ringing...imagine that! Well I better hurry...she'll be stocked if I type very many more words!

I'll keep everyone updated on the games tomorrow! Wish us luck!

Missed me didn't ya!

Okay...I'm finally getting around to posting again!! I have been kind of busy, between work and home life!

So Chelsie, Larissa and Whitney have some pretty cute blogs lately! I can't wait for the day that I get to sit and find some more cute things!

Greg and Kerry drove out to Reno NV. to get a new USFS fire truck for Greg's crew. They will be home tomorrow evening sometime. I pretty much miss him while he is gone.

Whitney has been very busy with homework...I hope that she starts to slow down a little, so that she can fit everything that is important in. She got really good mid-term grades this quarter...and seems to be doing well still. She just needs to memorize the FFA creed to get a straight A in Animal Science. I guess that you have do all the FAA stuff to be in that class?

The wind has blown so bad here today...it is enough to drive a person mad! I wish that it would storm instead of blow...I just hope we don't have a windy winter.

Well, it is getting pretty late for me...I'm getting old, sometimes 9:00 PM seems late...oh well, I've already sewed my oats, diapered the babies...stayed up until the teenagers came home...poor Whit...10:00 PM will end up being her curfew, because I don't think that I can survive late nights, again!

Speaking of Whit...it will be Happy Birthday to her next Wednesday, Oct. 29...big 15 years...wow!

Well take care and I'll be looking forward to reading everyone's cute posts!

Sunday...a day of rest...and full of Cheezes!

So...bare with me...I wasn't going to pay for a scrapbooking page...so you have to wait until it downloads.

First: pause my music and then go back up and push the arrow on Daitin's scrapbook...it will take a few minutes to download.

Second: when it is finished downloading...push the arrow at the bottom when you want to turn the pages...it is kind of fun.

Third: you can place your pointer over a smaller picture to enlarge it to look at.

I hope you have fun with it...I have! They sure are a cute family!

This is what you are going to have to put up with until I figure out how to place a cute one on, that is ready to be seen. I just loved the scrapebook idea...so I went with it!

Happy Sunday!

Let's Go HUNTING...(NOT!)...It's Chicken Noodle Soup Day!

Hey...whatz up! Yeah...the guys and Whit are off for the big hunt! The girls, little boys and I are going to make chicken noodle soup for when they come home...yummo!

We will probably try to hit the Holiday Fair at the community center...you know, some people are into crafts...not me, but the girls are home...I better be a good host and take them. I could actually enjoy curling up with a warm bowl of soup...watch a great movie or finish reading my beloved books...why watch a movie when you can read a good book? Maybe I'll do both...you know...accommodate the girls! Teeheehee!

Sorry that I didn't get a post off yesterday...I've been writing two different grants...and when I get on a roll in writing...I'm telling ya...don't mess with the head! I love to write...but most of you already know that! So, I got soooo much accomplished yesterday...and way ahead of schedule on the grants! I dig that one!

So okay...up date...RandiSue's and Bary's baby was 5lbs.15 oz and was only 4 weeks early! His name is Daitin D. and he is so dang cute...really! I need to take some pictures...but I haven't yet...I will though...today and then I'll post them for all to see!

Everyone is here from the family...including Bary's family...it is so fun to have everyone around. Danielle and Shaun had to sleep on a blow up mattress in the sitting room...we told them that they could put sheets on the french doors for privacy...we also told them...the Honey Moon is over!

So here I sit and write and I really need to be attending to my family and house along with cooking those yummo dishes! Bread sticks would be an added bonus...don't you agree!

Well, I'll keep you all posted on the Deer Hunt...and we'll see if Whit gets her kill! She so badly wants to hit a big one! She even wore her a cute satin orange ribbon in her hair this morning...her dad just rolls his eyes...girls...you got to love us!

Well take care and happy weekend and good eats!

Okay...so, I think I can make it through the rest of the day...because tomorrow is FRIDAY!

So...I have just been on Chelsie's and Whitney's blogs...cute, you guys! I laugh...teeheehee, Chelsie had a bad hair day and it wasn't even her own...ouch!

Whitney...dreams she can shoot a buck like that...but, dream on miss Whit.

Last nights games were good! Whitney played all of her Freshman game...and three out of four of her Junior Varsity games. She didn't come in on the Varsity game...maybe sometime during Region and State? She really is pretty good! Yeah...I know...she is my daughter...I'm just a little biased.

Today has actually been pretty mild in chilly. It actually warmed up a smidgen...probably not for long, but you know the hunters...they like it COLD...not me!

I can't wait until tomorrow...I get to see all three of my grandsons...yep, that's right...Jaron, Larissa and Jager are coming home...I haven't seen them since...gezzz, I don't know...how long!

Yeah, Greg, Whitney and Nolan got tags for the hunt...Jaron is coming to beat the bush... and give little sister pointers...yeah, right...and pigs fly too!

I love you guys...those of you that don't live here...come down...we'd love to see you all again! Those of you that do live close...come home and eat!

Have a great Thursday...what's left of it!

It's Game Day...Last Season Game Of The Year!

Hi guys,

So, it's game day and I get to go watch Whit here in a little while. I sure hope she plays good! After tonight...the Varsity team only has practice. Whit is on Varsity, so...she has to go to practice still! They have it at 7:00 AM on Thursday and Friday, cuz of UEA.

So I still don't know baby Barney's name yet...I hear he is a cutie! I can't wait to hold him...I guess that Randi is coming home this weekend...so we get to see him and hold him. That goes to show us that mom and baby are doing well. I don't know any of the other details other than he was born early...and his weight...I don't know how long or that stuff!

Chelsie is coming over tonight for Whit's game...so I get to see my little guys! Yeah!!!

I is still really chilly out there...we didn't get the snow that Heather G. shows us on her blog.
I hope we don't have another dry year...although I am not ready for winter yet...but if it is going to be cold...let it snow...let it snow...let it snow!

I'll try to update pictures this weekend of Whit and her games along with any other pictures that I have. I am planning on doing some reading though! Probably some baking and riding around taking pictures of the county for our new website.

Well...hang in there, it's hump day, tomorrow we will be on the down hill side of the week!

He's Here And We Don't Even Know His Name!!:)

It's been quite chilly today...all day! Everything is quiet for now...but great news...RandiSue had her baby boy last night at about 11:30 PM...he is 6 weeks early, so he only weighed 5lbs 14 oz. So far everything is good. He will just be a tiny little thing.

Carla said that Heather thinks he looks a lot like Brogan...I guess we'll just have to go see him! Can you believe it...he is here and we don't even know his name.:)

I wasn't even going to post today, because I don't have a lot to say...yeah right...like that would ever happen! But really I don't.

Whitney finally cleaned her room, so now she can come home from school and do her laundry...hows that for news.

Chelsie is going to be needing a babysitter, because RaniSue changed their plans for this Friday...anyone volunteering?

Check out the cute pictures on Chelsie's blog...they are so darn cute...I love em:)

Well...with all that being said...I will sign off and get to the school before Whitney is calling me and asking where I am...she is practicing VolleyBall still...Tomorrow is the last game and then we go into Region, then onto State! I love to watch her play...can't wait for Basketball!

Hey...It's Monday and i'ts Sooo Good To Be Back Home!*!

So, we're back! We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves...I'm just glad the drive is over with! We drove straight through yesterday...13 hours of sitting. As you know...we only went as far a Prim NV. on Thursday night...so the drive didn't seem so bad...but when you drive straight through, it seems longer.

The Celebration of Life was very nice...Johnny has a lot of friends! We ate a lot of great food and got to visit a lot of fun friends. Heather B. was a very gracious host...bless her heart! It seemed a little weird not to have Johnny there...but we all know that he is in a much better place and feels so much better.

So...Greg, Whit and I got to stay in Bill Dorrance's house. It is where he lived. Those of you that don't know who he is...look him up on the Internet. Those of you that know who he is...are into horses and training. So like I said, we stayed at his house, that's where we slept. Everything that was his is still there...antiques, now that was something...but along with antiques...comes, no commercial heating, chilly nights and most of all...ain't nobody home anymore and so the mice play, when everyone's away, but got a surprise when they found out that the bedroom was occupied...eek! Makes you sleep with one eye open!!!

I got a few shots of the famous barn...got a few shots of Bill and Buck Branaman sitting together...the pictures were hanging on a cork board on his wall. I also got a few shots of Bill and Bute, his wonderful old mare.
The Dorrance family was very nice and we enjoyed visiting with them at the party. They live in a house next to Bill's house.

Wow, we experienced another sweet experience, we met Dale Harward, a renowned saddle maker from Shelly Idaho. Now, talk about a very nice man. He was honored in the August 2008 Western Horseman. If you don't know who he is...look him up on the Internet as well, but if you do know him...you're into fine saddles, nothing but the best! He has invited us to come up to stay and visit with he and his wife Karen...she is a fun, sweet lady!

Well, I wish that I could share every detail with you, but the blog would take you a week to read...and I've really got to get to house keeping if I'm going to return to work tomorrow...beings that school is out on Wednesday...because of UEA, Whit will be starting early on getting ready for the deer hunt this weekend.

While we were away...Jaron and Larissa bought them a new 4-wheeler and Chasin got his preschool pictures back! I love my family...I hope it shows!

Well, until tomorrow...have a great day and stay warm...because, I was right...it snowed in Utah! Keep the fire burning until next time, happy hot chocolate and good eats!

Today's the last to hear from me...until Monday...Love you all!

Hi guys! Today's the last you will hear from me, until Monday...we're off to California, right after Whitney gets finished with VB practice. We will go as far a Prim NV...then we'll get up and finish the trip in the morning!

I hope that it doesn't snow while we're away...it could you know!
Greg finished picking our garden this morning...it's a good thing too, because the horses got out and thought that they would enjoy the rest of my pumpkins...they love em!

It was a short day at work for me today...because I came home to get ready to leave.
So...I've got a funny picture for you all to see...check Haley R. squeezing her water from the water bottle into a paper cup...during time out...Heidi has this look on her face like...duh, Haley!

Whit won her VB game...she actually started for the JV team...not to shabby for a Freshman! We won...yep...what else can we say! Life is good!

Well...as usual, I'd love to chat all day...but a road trip is waiting! Love you guys! I'll see you all next weekend for the Deer Hunt...Nolan, are you going out with Whit and Greg? Chelsie & Larissa, maybe we can make some Chile and sweetrolls???? See ya then!

Hey...What's Up...It's Wednesday!!! GAME DAY

It's nice to finally say...It's Wednesday...one, it's hump day...two, it's GAME DAY!!! Can you tell that I'm still enjoying myself watching Whitney! She so wants to get a line hit...I'm certain it will happen before the year is through.

We only have two more games left...Region...then State...bummer! But then Basketball starts...it just goes from one sport to another for us! Chelsie...I'll try and take a few pictures tonight of our little pooh bear for you tonight...I know that you want to be here...next time!

We host Region this year...I have to sell from 8:30-10:30 AM and then I'm finished for the day!!! I'm going to make some bread sticks for my baked goods. I don't know if Whit will play much during region...she is on the Varsity team...but has only went in a few times this year...we can't complain, because that's more than a lot of girls older than her.

Heather G., you are so crazy...I love your guts too! You're just what the family needed! Sweet thing you are! I'll try your suggestion...maybe between Chelsie and you I can create a slid show...maybe!

Has everyone checked out Chelsie's blog...Whitney has one too! They are a bit more creative than me. But I'm a bit more newsier!!

NEW FLASH**** The guy's got their elk...yep...they're through...now the work begins!! Good thing that they have to hang...we'll be leaving for California Friday morning! I would like to go tomorrow...but we'll have to see if Whit can miss practice, without taking a bench at starting for the next game. What you won't do for your kids!

Well...as always...I must get on with the rest of my day!! I'll let you all know how the game went!
PS...Check out the beauty I got a picture of this morning!!

Until next time...

It's Tuesday...& What A Beautiful Day It Is!

Hey guys...so I've heard from a lot of you by phone...Thanks! I have also read a few emails! Where's your blog...I know you're reading this!
Just look over to the right and become a follower, or at the end of this letter you will see comments...click it and make a user name and ID and add your comment.

Chelsie is starting a blog...I can't wait to see it. Heather G. was just saying that she would like to see the babies more...now she can...come on Larissa and RandiSue...let's hear from you! Check out Heather & Kayson's blog on the right hand side of this one...is she talented or what! I need some lessons!

So on Friday morning...Greg, Whitney and I are heading to California to see Heather B. and join in on Johnny's Celebration of Life on Saturday. It will be short trip...because of school. I'll try and take a few pictures to post. Heather G. needs to help me on that, big sis Shaun said she is the one that is all up to date! So please HELP me Heather...if you think it is possible!

As for the elk hunt...Chad got one on Sunday...but Greg, Jeff and Kendal I don't know about...they are still in the mountains. Greg came home on Sunday and watched conference with Whit & I...then he left on Monday morning to go camping again! I guess their having fun!
The days have been beautiful...just a bit of chill in the air...I love fall!

Stephanie has pictures today with Felicity and Savannah...she was wondering why Chad was still camping if he got his elk...you know...he has to help the others now! You'll survive picture day...and just think of the reading you can get done...without having a man around...just kidding...we love our guys! Hunting is nice though! Pizza parties and road trips for the girls! Some like to shop...I love to read and watch a good movie! Stay at home and enjoy the fire.

Well...I'd love to chat all day...but it is only Tuesday and I have a lot on my list before 5:00 PM gets here! Blog will you!

It's Sunday Morning...Time For Conference

It's a chilly fall morning...I haven't heard from Greg yet to let you know if he got an elk. Whit and I are going to enjoy a nice warm fire, watch conference and can apples and plum syrup today, that ought to make for a warm home feeling.

As for the road trip yesterday...Yes,our ladies did it again...yep, they won! Whit played well, she got a few hits and she almost pulled off a line hit...but it went out...next time Whit! During our rood trip...we stopped in Glendale and picked up Carla and Jeff's jerky...it was worth it...yummo!
No snow on the way home and the Caddy went just like she was built to do...smooth sailing! We got home around 8:30 PM...not too bad for a bunch of girls.

We stopped in and visited grandma Barney...she was doing well and looked good! We ended up talking to a few other gals from Escalante...if you want something that makes you feel good...go visit the elderly more often...I know it did my soul a world of good! Thanks Carla for the suggestion...even though you didn't have to take the other one back to her room and put her in bed! You just gotta love life...I do!

Chelsie and Randi are trying to find someone that is headed over here this week...they have a few items to send from their way. Chad has a new idea for sour dough...so Chelsie had to pick up a new pan up for him...so he can try his idea out!

I've posted some shots of Whit on the site...you'll have to put up with them the way they are and click to see the slide show...until I ask Shaun G. how to put them on and hear the music at the same time. I sure hope that you enjoy the music...Whit likes music...but I did have to delete one song...ouch...it was a little too much for me!

I've looked everyday to see if any of you are going to join in...Viv is the only one so far, but as for me...I love doing this and giving you all an update.

Well, I'd love to stay and write all day...but the apples and plum juice are waiting, besides...you've all got conference to watch. Call sometime and remember that I love you all!

I'll keep you updated on the elk hunt...when I get some news myself! Greg just walked in...and nope...no elk...maybe tomorrow!

Take Care!

Saturday's Here...We're Up & Going

So...we're up and going! Carla and I are stopping to see grandma Barney, then on down to the VB game. First things first...Carla went to a garage sale this morning...one man's junk is another man's treasure.

We had a good evening last night...Whitney talked Carla and I into watching the movie Enchanted...needless to say...it was cute...but when we looked around...Whit wasn't watching. She had left us two to enjoy the fairytale by ourselves. What were we thinking...I tried to get them to watch "Sleepy Hollow" hey, it has Johnny Depp in it at least!

The weather is just what I thought...wet and cold today, but so what...we'll stay warm on the drive. Carla wonders if the Cadillac will make up Oaksprings if it snows...she hasn't ridden with me yet has she...she may wish she didn't go with me...I'm not good in the snow!

Vivian says, that she is getting old...let's see October 25, would make you what Viv...45...oh my gosh! You are old! Ha, ha!

Whitney thinks old is soooo good...October 29, makes her the big "15"...and she better be able to say when she gets to this time next year...sweet "16" and NEVER been kissed.

Well...have a good weekend and enjoy conference! Good Luck to our hunters!

Friday, October 3, 2008

Hi guys, it's Friday!

It's finally Friday and the guys are going elk hunting! So it's a road trip for the girls! We're headed to Valley to watch Whit play Volleyball!
Conference is this weekend...which means, it is the traditional time to can apples for the winter and watch conference.

Chelsie...thinks that she may stop breathing when she watches her little sister play VB & she's just her sister...how funny...Greg and I did that for six years, watching Chelsie, and Jaron with their sports...it's time to get the air bags and oxygen out again...anyone else want to come?

The Weddings are finally over and everyones life is starting to slow down a pace or so...just in time to hit the road again for Whit's winter sports. Life...it's the greatest.

Carla is finished with her chemo treatments...she is looking healthier, her color and some pounds are back...way to go sis. She and I try to ride bikes...pushing is a good technique somedays! ha ha!

Well, hang in there for the rest of the day...then kick back with a good book or movie this weekend! It may be a cold one...who cares...I Love Fall!
