Thought I would Share a Fun Moment

This is a fun picture of Whitney and Haley!  They attended a BYU Girls Basketball camp this last summer and met the neatest person...Coriann Fraughton! She ended up being their coach for the week...and what an AWESOME lady she is!

Here is a picture of their little
team!  Whitney and Haley on the right! Coriann is in the center with pony tails!

Bitter/Sweet Day In Paradise

Bitter/Sweet day in Paradise. Our Lady Badgers took 2nd to Bryce Valley by 6 points...35 - 41. They should have walked away with the win...but sometimes things just aren't meant to be I guess. (((Sigh))). But never fear we are headed to state and will play their first game at 8:30 PM Wednesday night come wearing your purple and gold...and prepare to give your heart a ride of its life! ♥
You all know what it looks like when you squeeze the baby powder bottle to hard and that white cloud of powder pops out the top! Well...that's what the game looked like last night...oops we got squeezed just a little too hard! Fresh tears and broken hearts...but hey, they can take state one game at a time...I know they
can! ♥

Whitney gave her heart away last night to the game and her team mates.  It hurts to watch your child hurt, but it is also a honor to watch her rise above it after a few shed tears.  We were able to reminisce on the way home and have few good chuckles while remembering the year.  Whit's heart is healthy again...she is ready to face this next week head on...she likes the idea of the state trophy being a hard one to get and the fact that if the goal to the championship is accomplished...the Trophy is Bigger!
As a Mother...I am Honored to tell those of you reading this blog that our hard working Whitney made the All-Region Team...HOORAW to you Miss Whitney...you bring Honor to your family and to your team! We love you so much and wish you much success the rest of this ride into state and for the rest of your high-school career. Thank you for the opportunity to take this ride with you this year and the past years building up to this moment!
Here are a few pictures of this weeks basketball games.  I got some of the Lady Badgers playing Valley their last region game before the Region Tournament and then you will see a couple of the team in a moment of defeat (((SIGH)))! The last one will be of our Whit just as she is getting ready to receive her All-Region Medal...she missed the announcement because her team went to the locker room and didn't know that she had made the team...so I didn't get a picture of the team or her with them another big (((SIGH)))! But CONGRATULATIONS GOES OUT TO WHITNEY!

It's Girls 1-A Basketball Region 20 Time

Girls Basketball Region 20 started yesterday!  The Lady Badgers played Valley for their first game and won by 15 points...they will play Panguitch at 5:15 p.m. at Canyon View HS in Cedar City tonight to move on to the championships tomorrow night!

Our girls have such a sweet personality as a team and they play real well together!  Those who don't get to play as much sure are sweet girls and have so much enthusiasm toward the whole team.  It takes 5 players to move the ball down the basketball court...but it takes the whole team to win a game!

So find your purple and gold...get it on and keep tuned!  I'll try to get a few pictures...sure don't want to jinx anyone with the camera...you know me...a little superstitious...Sorry! :)

Fingers X'ed and Toes too! See ya when I return!

Basketball Is Good

Yes...basketball is good!  Our Lady Badgers beat the Bryce Valley Lady Mustangs last-night by 6 points!  Tough game...but someones got to do it...and they did!  Talk about TEAM EFFORT! WHOOT...WHOOT!

Tomorrow the Lady Badger's will play their final game of season play against the Lady Buffalo's...not sure that's what I would want to be called...but hey, those people down there in Valley are some very nice people! For the boys...I'm pretty sure that a Buffalo Boy is awesome and all...but for the girls...um...not sure!

Next Wednesday, February 9th, our Lady Badgers will more than likely play the Lady Buffalo's again on the Lady Badgers home court @ 7PM.  With a win tomorrow night...that will put them in 3rd place going into Region...and this year the first game of Region will be played on the better placed teams home court.  We will then head to Cedar City, Canyon View HS for Thursday and Friday games to determine the out come of Region play...our Lady Badger's have the talent to take 1st place...I hope they bring a lot of heart and come playing strong!

We will then head to Richfield the following week to play for State determination at the Sevier Events Center...I'll have to keep you updated on that one!

No pictures from last-nights game...sorry (8-\
I'll leave this picture of Miss Whitney that Chelsie took...because I have replaced it from the Header!

I hope that this blog finds you all warm and cozy...cause it has been terribly cold here!  Good thing that Greg has a large pile of wood,..I just Heart me some of that man! (8-)

Until next time...Happy Hoof Beats
