Blessed Are Those Who Enjoy The Light!

Since I can't be at Temple square...I thought that I would insert a little brightness into my blog and enjoy it while I read and for those of you that follow...I Love Christmas time!

I Love Saturday's becuz...I get to do mostly what I want and not so much what everyone else wants me to do...becuz...I'm me!

I Love to sit and watch good movies...Barn Diva and I just finished one...It was called Sydney White...cute...real cute!

I am going to go out and see Steph...and get somemore good books! I need to visit with little Thing one and Thing two...cute, sweet nieces they are!

Barn daddy is going to cut more elk meat up...I'm quite tired of all that stuff come this time of year! I just will be so glad when the hunts are over and the meat is taken care of and the BEEF is in the freezer!

So...Barn Diva informed me that she placed in a couple of rounds in the skeet shoot on Thanksgiving day! Way to go...good thing I didn't come out and shoot...all of you would have lost... and you know it too...that's not just hot air talking!

I've got most of all the Christmas shopping done...now...to get the tree in and the lights on the house...ummm...I wonder if Barn daddy is going to get the lights done???????

It Was A Wonderful Thanksgiving!

We had such a great Thanksgiving...I hated to have the day come to an end, but life must go on!
Everyone enjoyed the food, and we couldn't have eaten any better if we would
have had professionals prepare it. Barn Sisinlaw's (BSI) family came and helped make it that much more special, why with the Colt's Mr. IT's knowledge in computers and cell phones...he made the girls in our family smile from ear to ear.
Barn Bro.(BB) and BSI came packing three arm loads of soda pop...I won't have to buy for sometime now! We had a good time getting the potatoes ready for the dinner and visiting with BSI's family. I just LOVE them to death...you know!

The guys and Barn Diva shot skeet after dinner...they had a lot of fun...even though it was getting cold out. Barn Diva wanted to out shoot all the guys...ummm...I don't think she did...but it wasn't for the lack of trying!

Barn sis (BS) and her family went to Barn Broinlaw's (BBI) grandparents in Escalante. They have a very, very large family. Then they stopped by to see us on their way back home...yea! So I did get to see my whole family yesterday...just not all at once. BS, BD and I enjoyed ourselves taking silly pictures of ourselves with crossed eyes. It was fun, but they had to leave...so off they went.

I can play Christmas music for the next month and totally enjoy it. I Love Christmas, and the Spirit that it brings with it.

I hope that Christmas is a welcome event in all of your lives...it doesn't have cost a whole lot if you actually just enjoy the feeling of Christmas.

It is time to get our Christmas tree out and get it decorated...Barn Daddy needs to get our lights hung on the house.

For today...the men went elk hunting to help Jalen get his cow elk...I hope that they enjoy themselves...and Barn Diva...needed to do her running...ummm...I wonder if she got that done?

May you all enjoy the spirit of this season...and may you all realize what this season is all about, and May You Have Many Merry Days Ahead!

It's The Day Before Thanksgiving...Yahoo!

Hey guys...so, I'm sure everyone's on their way to where ever it is that you need to be and it may be over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house you go...or I'm leaving on a Jet Plane...pretty sure when I have to be back again...oh babe...I love to go!
So whatever it is that makes everyone's clock tick...I wish you well and a lot of fun and happiness!

As for my little part of the world...we're staying home and enjoying our little part of Heaven this year...no trips to California and the works for us this year...yea! I can't wait until those that are coming get here so that I can love on my baby and visit my sisters.

Sooo, I know that you are dieing to know...which position Barn Diva played in last nights games. She played Post in both the Freshman and JV games...I couldn't have ask her to play any better for her first high school game. She started Freshman and played a lot...I figured that she would wait her turn for JV...but she started JV and she played a lot...I told you so BD...have some faith in yourself...you looked AWESOME!

Wow...Barn Diva...AKA Korver and Darci...AKA Harpring, (I think that nickname will have to work until I'm for sure, Darci??), did so well in their Freshman game...I think that they had most of the points. I really don't keep track of that kind of stuff...but big sister Chels...deep down inside of the brain somewhere does...she can't let a number slip by her...she pretty much had them calculated the high point earners. Barn daddy pretty well sealed her conclusion about the high point theroy on the way home...and Chels wasn't even in the same car as we were, so...they both must have been taking deep brain facts...ummm...doesn't leave much to the imagination of where did big sis get her number attraction from now does it...not barn mom.
Thanks, but I would rather just watch the game and tell you how many baskets we need to catch up or how many to stay ahead, to keep my blood pressure down! It's all about the FUN!!!

I think that work is going to take forever to get through today...everyone is off to the holiday rush and I'm stuck here waiting until my time runith out...but I am busy...I have a lot of reports to get handed in before I can go home. I'm just on my lunch hour and eating alone today...like I said...everyone is gone!

If all you haven't checked out the cute family pictures...you need to on Larissa's blog site. Lance did such a good job of shooting them...way too cute. Chelsie...I expect to shoot you guys...so come over one of these days and let me at ya!

Well everyone be careful...where ever you end up and don't eat so much that you are sick and wish that you could blow up one way or the other.

Angels on Sunday!

So Cute...aren't they Angels while they're asleep!

My body says...it's a cold...I just hope that I feel better by Thursday for Thanksgiving! Oh wow I thought that this picture of my kids was just adorable...so I had to steal it and post it on my own blog...thanks guys!

So my team lost...good thing that it is just a game and I don't bet...oh my gosh...I think that I could have held on to the ball a lot tighter than they did yesterday...they must have had cold hands??? Okay...we lost fair and square...but watch out next time!

Today for lunch my family gets...Cesar chicken salad and Cream of potato soup, with Bread sticks...yumo! Most of it is already prepared...I've done a little at a time...and Barn daddy gets to be in church with us today...he doesn't have to attend another ward.

I hope all is going well with everyone...and I will feel better soon, so that I will feel like leaving comments on everyone's blogs.

Finally...I am so glad that this week is over with...I am totally wrung out! I hope that I am not coming down with a cold...I just need to get my PJ's on and sit by Barn daddy's fire and drink some hot chocolate...yumo!

Sorry Stinky...I meant South America...or Guatemala ...there, that works even better...shees, what was I thinking Mexico...snort...snort! So they all speak Spanish of some sort...don't they?

I sure hope all you Twilight fanz get your groove on...I will just have to wait until next time...I'm just too tired to think about driving for awhile.

I'ts A Crash Landing....Sheeeep...Help Me!

I have finally crash landed and walking again, just to walk out the door when Barn Daddy gets home. WOO...it's only Wednesday. I have been moving since 6:00 AM nonstop until now! I had to be in Richfield for a training this morning and then up to Snow South to another meeting. I didn't even stop t0 eat lunch, so that I could make it home in time for Barn Diva's BB parent meeting and Purple & Gold ball game tonight.

I have a nonstop worry in my stomach for my dear daughter and her family...good luck Noly in your search for a job...I know that you are a smart and talented guy...you'll find something that will be good for your family! I pray for you guys every other minute of the day...I just can't help it...I wish sooo much that I could fix it for you...We've just got to have FAITH!

Not much going on, except that I am finally getting my breath back and reading Ressa's blog did my heart a world of good...such a cute picture of Jage and his puppy!

Barn Diva is looking tired...and wrung out...I think that she is worrying way too much about what position she should play! Life is way too short to sweat the small stuff...remember that!
You'll do great at any position your coach decides to play you in...and when you're on the floor...kick some petunia!!!

I love you guys,

Have You Ever Felt Like Stutting? It's Friday Everyone!

Okay...so I felt like strutting around a little becuz it is finally Friday and my week is over....YES! I so look forward to the weekends...even though Barn Daddy thinks he needs to go dog hunting every Saturday! I thought that the cute little turkey strutting his stuff around on my blog looked a lot like I felt...so you all get to watch me strut my stuff through ol' Tom, before he is eaten for Thanksgiving!

So...what's everyone going to do this weekend? Whit and I might go up to Provo and do a little Christmas shopping...who knows...you know a woman's mind...we'll make it up when we want to...and then we might change it the last minute...get used to it...that's just the way we are! It's my story and I'm telling it!

Cute pictures of Chasin with his headband on of "I"! Oh and Larissa...you're not following my blog anymore, so I don't know when you've posted a new blog...follow me again...please!

I am reading a good book...well actually a series right now and I can't wait to get back to reading it and watching the Jazz game! I just decided that I better come and blog...so that you would know that I'm still alive and kicking butt...yep, Whits! Sniff...Sniff...Trev, I can smell you and your laughing! Congratulations on making the BB team...you'll do good this year...you'll just have to try and out shoot Whit in her free throws...or is it the other way around...she needs to get used to trying to out shoot you? I expect to see Darci and Haley right up there with you two!! Let's go BADGERS! After all...I didn't pay all that money to sit in those seats and watch you guys miss a free throw! SHOOT IT UP!

Quote for the day:
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Sooo...don't let the opportunity slip past, just becuz you're younger and less experienced...grab the that opportunity and make it your success!

As for the rest of my family and friends...you are all probably tired of hearing about BB tryouts and such...well, like I said at the first of my blog...it's my story...and I'm telling it...teeheehee!

Love you guys...keep blogging!

CUTS TODAY???

Barn Diva will find out if she made the BB team tonight...I hope she does...so we can chase her and watch her play. There isn't going to be a Freshman team this year in our Region...so I guess that she is shooting for the J.V. team.

Barn Diva had the flu on Monday...the first day of tryouts...how unlucky is that! She did alright though. While I was waiting to pick her up...I decided that I better walk in and make sure that she hadn't called Barn Daddy to come and pick her up from school during the day. She was there and she was playing tough from what I could see. She even gave a Senior a little taste of... "Don't Mess With Me...Even Though I'm A Freshman." It was great! One things for sure...it helped her to have to play both the guard and post positions...becuz she can see her post if she is in the guard position. Noting like working your butt off the seal your man...and have that darn guard or point guard miss that window of opportunity! GIVE IT TO ME!

BD: shot 8/10 of her free throws last night in practice...good for her! "KORVER"...yeah, that's what I'm talking about!

Yesterday was a good day off...I got a lot of reading done...I know...I should have cleaned my house or went Christmas shopping...but I didn't and I enjoyed myself. Barn Daddy went dog hunting with cowboy J., they didn't see or hear a thing...Barn Daddy said that it was probably the worst time of hunting dogs he has ever had...darn!

Well, I guess that I should be getting ready to get to work...that time is getting near! I hope that all goes well with Colton's leg...bummer that it happened this time of year:(

I haven't heard form some of you for a very long time...whaz up? Trevor...Darci...Barn Diva...Chels???

Keep blogging and posting pictures...I look forward to it in the evenings!

Freedom Isn't Free!

**STAND UP & BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN**
Today is a very special day...yep...it's Veteran's Day!
IS YOUR FLAG FLYING??
People Stand Up and Salute our Nations Flag...because without those Brave and True Individuals that fought to make this Country what it is today and those Brave and True Individuals that continue to fight to keep this Country that way today...we wouldn't be blogging or enjoying the sweet comments that we give to one another. We could be living day to day...just hoping to survive each year.

Our Nation has known difficulties before and we can withstand them again...if we stand strong and true to what this Nation was really built upon. Our Forefathers...had Pride and Determination...to bring this Country what we have today...Freedoms that should never be taken away...unless we abuse them.

So take a moment or even a few to remember who we are and what we stand for by saying a prayer of gratitude to our Father in Heaven for the good people that paid the Price & continue to pay the Price for our Freedoms. Just because we have a New President...doesn't mean that our beloved Soldiers should have fought in VAIN. There are VALUES ment to be kept!

So today, bow your heands in Praise for this Nation and remember to Follow the Prophet of God...for he is the one who will guide us through this era of unknown! Always Stand Right & True and when you have a chance to see one of our Nations Vetern's...Tell Them Thank You...it doesn't have to be just today...it should happen your whole lifetime through!

Did You Know God Designed You To Glow...
by being Faithful to our God & His Son Our Savior...Jesus Christ, Our Family & Friends, Our Religion, and Our Nation...we will have a glow of Truth and Righteousness...Yes, we were designed to glow with happiness!

Be Good Examples and Always Remember that with God...Nothing is Impossible. Our Nation will survive if we will continue on if Good Faith!

The Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy (1855-1931). It was originally published in The Youth's Companion on September 8, 1892. Bellamy had hoped that the pledge would be used by citizens in any country.
In its original form it read:
"I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

In 1923, the words, "the Flag of the United States of America" were added.
At this time it read:
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today.
Today it reads:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Let us hope it stays this way!

Enjoy this Read & see if you don't Agree:

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading, in my opinion. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living. This IS a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military.

Senator Metzenbaum to Senator Glenn: "How can you run for Senate when you've never held a "real job?"

Senator Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the Space Program. It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine to five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank. I ask you to go with me ...as I went the other day ... to a Veterans Hospital and look those men - with their mangled bodies - in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job!

You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee ... and you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their DADS didn't hold a job. You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags. You stand there, and you think about this Nation, and you tell ME that those people didn't have a job? I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum, you should be on your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men - SOME MEN - who held a REAL job. And they required a dedication to a purpose - and a love of country and a dedication to duty - that was more important than life itself. And their self-sacrifice is what made this country possible.

I HAVE held a job, Howard! --- What about you?"

Stand For Truth & Righteousness...Be THANKFUL, Today, Tomorrow & Always, for your Freedoms!

I Love You Guys!

Good Morning...I'ts Sunday...The Wonderful Day Of Rest!

I don't know if a lot of you know this about me...but I BLEED BLUE! Did anyone get a chance to go to the game yesterday? One of these years...I'm going to buy some season tickets! GO BYU...GERRR! It really helps that Whit wants to go to BYU for College! I can't wait until November 22...
BYU & UTAH go HEAD to HEAD... I know...UTAH has their new BLACK OUT uniforms...but it is still BLUE vs. RED to me!

Wow, yesterday was a long day...trying to help Whit figure out her YWIEP and get it put together! It turned out pretty nice though! It will be fun to go and see what they have planned for tonight! I keep asking Whit, what she is taking for her personal items...she keeps telling me, nothing...I'll bet it is a surprise for the parents?

Did you get a chance to check out some of my links that I have added? Some of them are so fun for YM, Primary and other church areas.

I got to see Chasin and Braegan all day yesterday...becuz Whit tended them for Chels. They were fun...and a hand full. They sure were good boys!

So...tomorrow is Basketball Tryouts...OUCH! Go Whitters Go! Darci and Trevor you too! I can't wait to watch all of you this season! But OUCH!

Hey GUYS...Here's a Great Quote For The Day:
"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, "that's her"....

You better believe it...this one goes straight to the Heart!

Love you all! Barn Mom

Hello all...Isn't It Friday yet???

Wow...it seems like it should be Friday all day today! I will be so glad when the whistle blows tomorrow! I am going to whoop it up this weekend by sitting long and reading much!

So the Barn Diva needs to get her YWIEP done before Sunday...I got her a few things to make them out of...I'll see if she uses them!

I did real well with my presentation at the SCAOG EDD Board...I am ready to hand it in and present it in SLC sometime in February!

Barn Daddy is watching the football game and I am going to go watch Prison Break...right Trev., what...sniff...sniff...something stinks!

Well, everyone have a happy evening and enjoy what is left of it! Keep blogging! Oh yeah...sorry that my blog was off line for awhile...I didn't know until the Barn Diva told me! So now I'm back in business! Hey...it happens with all Energy Companies...why not me!

Wow Elections Are Over & We Have A New President!

I guess we'll have to learn to live with "A Change" and see if this guy can be a good President!
I'm still just learning how all of the elections went. It is sooo hard to have good friends running for the same office! I wish them both luck and don't ever forget, no matter what happens, we still like you both!

It has been such a hectic week this week! I have had meeting after meeting and I haven't even found time for my family! We did sneak FHE in on Monday night...it was great! I really miss having my whole family home sometimes!

It snowed yesterday and last night...I'm on my way over that crazy mountain to another meeting this morning! I sure hope the ice burns off and the snowplows have sanded the roads. I would stop and reconsider, but I really need to be to that meeting...becuz, you see, I am presenting my project today, before it heads to the CIB! I Love my job...sometimes!

So, on Tuesday nights, Headie C. Flanny and I go to a class called QuickBooks...I go, becuz I set the darn class up...Headie goes becuz she wants to get smarter...she is already smart, especially in this class...it's a good thing too, becuz Dougus P. is taking it with us...and sometimes he needs our help! It is pretty fun...it is probably a good thing that it is just a bunch of fun people taking it this time!

WARNING: Did everyone watch the news about blogging? Everyone just be careful...those are my babies with those cute faces!

Well, it's about time to get to work...I wish that I could sit here and talk all day...but duty calls! I hope that things slow down after today! Pooh has her YW In Excellence this Sunday...I'll have to take pictures!

Keep blogging and posting those sweet faces!

Love You Guys To Death!

It's Sunday...Rise and Shine!

So...did we all remember to set our clocks back one hour? Now we get to wait until noon to go to church, nothing like hurry up and wait! I wish that they would leave the time alone...but who am I to wish!

I guess that I am going to put Lariss'a stew together today and have that for when we come home. I may get ambitious and make dough for scones?

Greg is off to Torrey changing his sprinkler pipe...he wants to keep watering because the water is still in the canal. I guess it is still warm, why not! Can you believe how warm it has been this weekend...70 degrees at 5:00 PM lastnight...wow!

So...update! Whitney's special friend is not Special...he is a Sweet friend...she informed me that Dylan is the special friend, becuz he's special! So I guess if you all want to read Whit's blog...she'll tell you who the Sweet friend is! I know this much...get em both together in the car and you have a stink all the way home...yep...SPOILED...the both of them are...so SPOILED...they stink!

Well people...enjoy your Sunday and remember to keep it holy! Sit back and relax...Heaven knows we need the rest! Keep in touch!

We're Back...And It Feels Good To Be Home!

We're back and it sure is good to be home...sitting inside of a gym all day for two days makes for a very flat butt.

So...we did pretty darn good! We ended up taking 5th out of 16 teams in State...way to go Lady Badgers! Whit, didn't play, but it sure was a treat for her to be exposed to that type of pressure...gets her ready for next year!

Whit will have two weeks off...then comes Hell Week...Basketball Tryouts...OUCH! I know she'll be able to do it...I can't wait to watch her play BB.

So we had a very fun time and got a little Christmas shopping done! Greg and I went to Cabela's and shopped early this morning then headed to the games. Although I think that I may end up taking Whit back before BB tryouts to get her Christmas shopping done, becuz when practice starts, she'll never have time before Christmas gets here!

I know you've never heard me say this before...I'm tired and I'm going to close! I loved the cute pictures that everyone put on their blogs this weekend! Keep shooting and posting! Thanks...it was so fun for Greg and I to sit in the hotel lobby and check out everyones' blogs! Love you guys!
