What A Ride...2008

Wow...the Holiday Classic Tournament is over and Barn Diva and her JV team took 3rd place...Yeah! They didn't play too well the first day against White Horse...they lost by 10 points...but came back and played an Awesome game against San Juan...way to go girls.

BD played her Petunia off...I couldn't have asked anymore of her...she shot herself to death...but couldn't get them to drop...next time! I have some Awesome footage on her...I just need to figure out how to put it onto Utube and then you guys can watch away! Her new Varsitiy number is #1...no kidding either!

She did the most fabulous up & under...wow...what an extraordinary move...way to look BD!

Darci...you did real well too...I'll have get you some shots of yourself!!! Some of the faces you girls pull...teeeheeeheee!

We had fun never the less and look forward to playing Bryce Valley on Friday...and Dixie on Saturday! Then the 9th & 10th is the Sophomore Tournament in Bryce Valley...so full of wicked fun!

Our Varsity girls took the Holiday Classic Championship...way to go girls! BD didn't play...but she did get to be part of it...sometimes that's all it takes to make future Champions...a little exposure with a big feel!

Trevor...you played an Awesome game yourself...call for it a little more and make em' give to ya...I know once you get that feel...you'll be unstoppable!

I sure do wish you all a very Happy New Year tomorrow...I wish you all a very SAFE New Year's Eve tonight...I don't know what we are doing...probably nothing...we'll just stay home and enjoy the snacks of 2008!

My New Year's Resolution: To make a visit to the homes of my kids more...and see my grandson's & my kids...and to see that Barndaddy visits his mother more often through this year...I know...I am never a keeper of new resolution's...but it is high time I try to stick with one and this one seems to be the one...maybe!

Jaron & Jager came to visit and watch Whit's JV game. It wasn't so hot...however, Whit did pull her head out of her shoes and played better the second half of the game...but unfortunately it was too late for them to catch up...they were beat by ten points.

Varsity game is at 7:00 PM...Whit has to be there at 5:00 PM...so we'll go and watch a few other games in between.

I know that Jaron is coming over today...I can't wait to visit with him a little longer than yesterday at the blessing...by the way...the blessing was nice and the dinner was Fabulous RandiSue and Berry! I was also very nice to visit with everyone a little bit!

Christmas Gifts

So...you wanna see what we got for Christmas and some of the things that we did during this Holiday...well here is a sneak preview...

My first Bonus from work...wow...cash...what a great Christmas bonus! I'll be putting it toward buying myself a DVD recorder that I can hook up without putting all the pictures on the computer and taking up memory!

These are Anasazi beans and a couple of dish rags that Phyllis Coombs gave to us for Christmas...I will cherish the rags...she is now 82 years old and she is on Peritoneal Dalais ...I go with her to the doctor and I really enjoy listening to her stories. I just love her!


It's working again...thanks to Earl. Our fridge...it quite working on Dec 23rd...so Earl from A+ appliances came from Richfield and fixed us on Christmas Eve...what a super sweet person he is...may God always bless him & his family always!

This is my new reading light Barndaddy gave to me for Christmas...I just Love that man...he really knows a way to my heart...through my books and perfume and all my soft things he chooses to give to me! Stephanie thinks that she is going to steal my light...not in this life time!

This bed is waiting for Barn Bro & his family to come a visiting and staying with Barngrandma. BB you can now bring your barnfamily home and stay with us...and BD will never have to leave her room again...you can stay as long as you wish...come home Oklahoma!

It's A Pretty Cold Day...

Sheesh...it is so darn cold outside; however, it is up to 23* today...better than 10* lastnight @ 10:00 PM! But with that comes...Cold, Crisp & Beautiful...I Love where I live!

So Barndaddy and Barnuncle think today is a better day to hunt dogs...I think that today is a Great day to stay inside curled up by the Fire drinking Hot Chocolate...watching a good movie and reading a Great book! Good luck boyz!

Barndaddy gave me more books for Christmas...so I can have more of these...It's a Great time to read weekends...I know he likes it, becuz I don't care if he watches all the sports he can possibly stand in one weekend...but hey...I've got the better deal...a Great book and Barndaddy massaging & tickling my feet...yep...that's my kind of Heaven! Watch one more Barndaddy!!!

So...we all SURVIVED Christmas and had a very wonderful day! BARN DIVA got a new bed...I'm very JEALOUS of her...I think that I Need one kind of like it... SOFT I mean!

The greatest GIFT of Christmas this year, WAS getting to visit FAMILY and getting to EAT a nice CHRISTMAS DINNER on CHRISTMAS DAY this year!

WE finally got the purple ROOM ready so that when JARON'S FAMILY comes home to stay...they have a place to stay without KICKING Barn Diva out of her big bed...so come home BB & BSI & Barn Baby!

Yea...I MADE a Pumpkin & New York CHEESE CAKE for the Christmas DINNER...I think that they turned out GOOD!

I RECEIVED quite a few WONDERFUL gifts this year...I really am THANKFUL for the BLESSINGS in my LIFE. BARNDADDY...wants to hunt DOGS so bad TODAY...but the WEATHER isn't COOPERATING like he wants it to...if you ASK me...I would just SAY the it is just DECEMBER weather...that's ALL! The WIND is blowing so BAD and the TEMPERATURE is only a MEASLY 16*...OUCH!

Well I'm going to RUN...and watch a MOVIE...becuz...it is the HOLIDAYS after all...then I will READ the rest of the time...YES...that's my type of BREAK...forget the WINTER weather...and STAY inside.

I have been so busy and then having the holidays come, I don't have time to spin in the directions that I would prefer...hey, but I'm here now for a moment.

I need to hurry and say a quick hello...I'll be doing some filling in on what's up in another blog...at the moment, I told barn daddy that I needed to come and get a little saying off of the computer for our neighbors gifts...and here I sit...don't tell okay! I'm really not being knotty...I've actually been a very good girl this year...barn Santa:)

BARN DIVA MAKES VARSITY...What a great Christmas surprise!

So...I know you're all waiting and wondering about the basketball games lastnight at Manti...well...we won! Yes, the freshman won and the JV lost...it was a very close game...with the varsity winning as well. The JV played some of the very same girls that the varsity played...so that ought to tell you how well our JV did against a 2-A school...sooo darn good!

BD played her Petunia off in the freshman game...she played post, guard, and point guard positions...yea, huh...that's what I'm talking about...my baby...my hero! She'll always be her daddy's little girl...but always my baby! BD then played her Petunia off in the guard position and some of point gurard position all of the JV game...see Barn Diva...we told you that you could do anything you put your mind to...#34 is looking so good again...wouldn't you agree BS?

Those of you that aren't traveling fans of the BD...I'll try and get some good shoots of her playing...but it is so darn hard...and watch the game too! BS, BBI and the cute little barn babies came for the freshman game lastnight...then they had a Christmas dinner to go to! We are headed to St. George tomorrow morning bright and early! The ball bus leaves the high school at 6:00 AM...barn daddy and I won't be far behind. Barn Uncle Cowboy and barn aunty are leaving tonight to stay with one of the barn cousins...can you guess which one??? Here's to BD and her team...leaving a few foot prints all over this next 3-A teams petunias...kick it up girls!!

I also got to shoot a few pictures of the Manti Temple...so pretty and so neat to see this time of year...even though they don't decorate it like Temple square, it is still so peaceful looking knowing...that it is the Lords House...just adds to the Spirit of the Season!

Well...Barn Diva and I had to go to the eye Dr. and have a yearly checkup...yep...my eyes are getting old...I had to go a bid stronger for myself, and BD had to get her first pair of contacts. She must have inherited that gene from me...woops...sorry!

So yea...it was kind of funny watching her poke herself in the eye...that's what her brain was thinking...teeeheeeheee! I had to finally help her...you'll get the hang of it BD...or you won't see anything...teeheehee!

Game Day

So...I know that I haven't blogged for a long time...anyways for me. Yes, BS I have been busy...I finally sent my Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) into the state today...man talk about a load off of my shoulders...now I can kick back and enjoy the holidays for real! Yes...I feel like peeling off all of my clothes and running through the halls naked...I'm that excited...but, I promise I won't...teeheehee!

Tonight is BD's basketball game in Manti...I am so excited to watch her play again...I'll try and get a lot more pictures this time...I just can't watch the ball game and shoot her at the same time as good as I do with Volleyball.

So...yep...my Christmas shopping is all done and I have even ordered the cards that I will send out from my work! Okay...so I still need to shoot The Barn Family and get those cards ordered...then I can really enjoy the holidays!

I still don't know what I'm doing for neighbor gifts...so if any of you have any great ideas...please, do tell!

Well...I can tell you that we will be busy for awhile cutting and wrapping beef...but that's absolutely okay...becuz we'll have hamburger in the freezer once again...YAHOO!
