Here we go again...Thanksgiving went bye way too fast! I'm bummed that we all have to go back to work and school and whatever else comes into the common persons life...it will seem like forever before we have another holiday break!
I'm just glad that we have basketball games to get to go to during this next month! Bring on the basketball, girls and boys and yes...wrestling too!
I've had the stomach flu once again...but not as bad as two weeks ago...now I've gone and given it to poor Greg...boo. =( I sure do hope that he only has what I've had today and not what I had two weeks ago...that would be a bad thing!
Chelsie has been taking pictures of Whitney...this is Chelsie's new past time and a little money on the side...she is doing well with photography and she loves doing it!
I've loaded some of Whit's pictures...I think they are all cute...Whit didn't even dress up for the day, she just went over to see Chelsie and Jaron and do a little shopping and ended up doing a fun little photo shoot with her big sister...very nice Chels!
I hope you enjoy them as much as we have!
I'll try and keep you all updated on the basketball and try to get some photo's on here as well! One exciting thing...we are headed to watch the BYU Lady Cougars basketball team on December 18th. Whitney attended a basketball camp at the 'Y' this summer and one of her coaches is a player...her name is Coriann Wood and Whit really wants to see her play...so we're going! Yeah!
I've embedded a video of Coriann up at the top of this blog...she seems really sweet and looks like a good b-baller! I hope you love her as much as Whitney does! Pause my music to watch the video!
Enjoy The Rest Of November and Happy December!

Happy Thanksgiving 2010 Everyone
Wow...what a wonderful day! I made several pies yesterday...coconut cream, banana cream, peanut-butter, pinto bean & yes of course....Pumpkin!
I also decided to make sweet potatoes and yams this year...I was going to do twice baked yams, but I washed and wrapped and put them in my crock-pot overnight they were done just right, but the skins were too soft...so I tried to broil them a little to dry out the skins...didn't really work...so I just didn't fill the skins back...could have just cut them open and set the brown sugar, butter and cinnamon whip in a bowl and let them all eat them Outback Steakhouse style...but I whipped them up and added the butter whip and topped them with marshmallows...they were delicious...but not ever as delicious as the yummo sweet potatoes...they are my favorite! What did I learn...just bake the yams and get the hard skins to begin with...but if you don't want the skins...crock pot is the easiest way to go!
I baked rolls and yes, Mr. Turkey this morning as well...Tom really turned out good this year...what I've learned over the years, is just buy the 10-12 lb turkey's if you need more buy two...cuz the smaller ones are much more juicer than the big 25 lb turkey's! I got a lot of yummy drippings from Tom and made a great gravy as well!
Greg carved Tom up in a way that the juices just flowed! He also helped me make the sweet potatoes and tended the boys while their mom and dad got ready to go to Escalante this year! I love you so much Greg...thanks for all that you do!
Jeff made a wonderfully delicious ham glazed with brown sugar and cloves...yumo! Carla made delicious stuffing and mashed potatoes!
Kendal brought green olives stuffed with jalapeno peppers and large black olives...they added to a wonderful dinner! The peanut butter pie was a request from Kendal...I'm still trying to find a recipe like the one that he ate in Cedar City...I just don't have any idea what it tastes like...I'm allergic to peanut butter so I'm not tasting!
I will make a little more gravy and use my left over pie dough add the turkey and some frozen vegetables and make pot pies with left overs...yumo!
Thought about going for a walk to walk off some of the calories...but it was so darn cold today...we didn't even shoot skeet this year...now that's saying it is too cold!
I really don't think Whit and I will be shopping on Black Friday...OUCH...that's what I think about that day! Cyber shopping on Monday might bring as good as deals and I don't have to put up with all of those crazy shoppers!
So I guess that you all know about our wonderful Thanksgiving day...I hope you all had a great one yourself and please don't forget, I am most of all Thankful for the blessing that is said before the meal...because it seems all hearts are in tune with the spirit and a gentle feeling of gratitude is born...blessings are said for all in this country...epically those that serve our country and are not with their loved ones at this time a year as we all sit around and enjoy ourselves. I hope we can always remember them in our prayers not only at this time of year...but each time we converse with our Heavenly Father!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

NEWS FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS
Yes, I know it has been forever...what can I say!
I do have some news! Now to catch you up on the volleyball season...well Whitney made the All-Region team for region 20 in 1-A. She was thrilled and so were here parents!
Whitney was nominated to compete for the FFA (Future Farmers of America) Harvest Ball title. She had to back a truck and trailer she took 1st, chase a pig...she took 3rd, make a cake...she took 2nd, put her bare hand in a bucket of pig sh** no placing there, model an evening gown, interview, talent...they didn't tell us the placings on the gown, interview or talent...they had to do a floor show dance at the Harvest Ball! Whitney ended up getting 2nd attendant to the Harvest Ball queen...she made...thanks to Carla and her mom "a little bit" ...the sweetest cake ever! It was themed: WhitneyElla Goes To The Ball! It was Fun! =)
We are off to the races for the 2010-2011 basketball season...just had our first two games this last Friday and Saturday over to Richfield at the Sevier Valley Center (SVC). We lost the first game to Manila and won our second game to Wendover! I believe that our girls have it in them to have a great season! Whit is playing a guard position along with some post play as well...she sure does a good job at both...course I'm proud of her...she's half mine you know!
I don't have pictures to post with this post...I didn't take my camera to the games...sometimes it is just great to sit and watch for a change and since they were just preview games and don't count against our record...I thought it would be a great time to leave it home!
We will be having Thanksgiving here in Teasdale with Carla, Jeff and a couple of their kids...Greg, me and Whit along with the other stragglers in our family...Carla will bring the P-I-G "hog" and I will bring the Turkey...we are looking forward to a simple yet filling day! Of course we will be having all of the fixin's...you don't have to have tons of people to have it all! Can't wait eat some good food and later rent a good movie to top off our day...we'll see you others all next year...or just at Christmas dinner...enjoy your day with your in-laws...it will be a good time for you all too!
Been looking for Christmas presents...can't believe that it is almost here...and we all need new tires for each of our cars and truck...so it looks like a black Christmas in this family =( not really what else could we use...might as well get what we need...right!
The babies are all growing and the little boys are all getting so big and Chasin is doing so good in school...he sure has grown into a gentle young man! Jager and Braegan are getting so smart in preschool...and the babies...well they are just so darn cute and grandma loves them all!
I can't wait until I get to go see the Harry Potter movie that just came out this weekend...who knows when...but for sure I am going to see it! I just know that Carla wants to go with me too! =)
Well...I've just about ran out of news for today...I sure hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and that you find your lives as full and blessed as much as I do! One more year means that we are here to be Thankful just to be here!
I Love You All...HAPPY THANKSGIVING...and Black Friday EEK

Gosh It's Been A While
Okay...it has been a real long while since I last blogged...sorry! We had region volleyball in Milford and ended up in 4th place in region...went on to play a play-in game in Salina against Green River and won...we got to go to State. The Lady Badgers did pretty well...they did lose their fist game against St. Joseph so that put us into the lower bracket and out of the running for 1st & 2nd & 3rd & 4th place...we went on to play against White Horse and beat them real good...that sent us on to play Manila...and we won that game as well! We ended up in the State bracket playing for 6th & 8th against...oh krieky...I can't remember...some private school...sorry! :/ We didn't beat them dang it...so we ended up taking 8th in State...better than nothing...right!
Whitney and her dad snuck the deer hunt in between region and state volleyball...she got her buck...way to go Whit! :D
This week is Basketball tryouts for Whitney and the other girls...she says that she is totally tuckered out and there has been a lot of conditioning...that is a good thing in some sense! We old people need a Jillian to condition us...uh-hum...nah!
It is also Harvest Ball week at the school and Whit has been nominated to be a contestant...she won the backing the truck and trailer today...wouldn't have expected any less of her!
Our babies are growing and doing just great...what a blessing our five grandchildren are for us! It is a wonder that we have enough energy to keep up with them in the times they come to visit! I just love them 2much 4ever...and then more!
I will try and keep this blog updated...but until then...hang in there and catch me on face-book if you aren't my friend on there already!
A couple of pictures of my grand kids and Jager makes the front page of the Richfield Reaper!
