Life Flys By So Fast...WHY
Here it is the end of September...the birthdays that were this month are finally all over with and October is peaking its head around the corner! With this beautiful month comes my beautiful baby girls birthday...not just any birthday...but it will be her sweet 16 day...where oh where has time gone!
The leaves are changing here and it is so beautiful...the Spike Elk Hunt starts this Saturday...yeah you guessed it...the guys will most definitely be in the hills...and pretty sure that Barndiva will be right there with her daddy as well...oh boy does she love to hunt! I would imagine that one of her dates will be hunting...SOMETHING!
I'm not sure that I'm ready for her to be at the dating age...how come the driving and dating come all at once...we might just have to keep her under lock and key...she is really growing into a little doll...not that she hasn't been all along...but it's funny to see the boys have started noticing her as a girl and not a buddy anymore! I hope that she will always look for a boy that will place her very high on a list of some of the most treasured gifts God could give him (A righteous Daughter of God)...I pray that she will always treat him as good as God would want a Son of God to be treated as well. I pray that she will enjoy life and look for the best in others always...make many good choices and friendships and take those experiences with her whereever she wanders in life! Listen to me...have I gone all sentimental or what!!!!
As the days run into each other I find myself thankful that my big sister is still with us and doing great...who would know that she has terminal lung cancer...she and I just finished a 100 mile bike ride on Saturday, September 26, 2009...what a great time...I just about could have died...but did it anyway...after all it's on her bucket list! There are some things in life that can't replace doing something with loved ones! I told her that we needed to learn to golf...so that we could do something not so strenuous all the time...I swear that she thinks we need to hurt with everything we do! I only made it about 60 miles on the bike ride...she made it the whole 100 miles...whoot...whoot!
This weekend I will be watching General Conference and bottling apples for...you know it...apple pies, turnovers and cobblers this winter! I love this time of year...yep...uh..huh!
Well...I'll try and keep this little blog updated more often and I apologize for not keeping on top of it...too many meetings in my life lately! Oh yeah...and I just got promoted to a wonderful calling in church...I'm a new Sunbeam Teacher in the primary...they are the 3-5 year olds...yep...I just love em' <3!
Today's Quote:
It doesn't take large feats to feel good about yourself...it can be as simple as doing it and having said you did it!
